It features a solid mahogany body and bookmatched quilted maple top. 4 Bolt, quartersawn maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Duncan '59 (neck) and Duncan Pearly Gates (bridge) pickups. Wilkinson VS-100 Bridge and Vintage nickel Gotoh locking tuners. The maple top is about 3/8ths of an inch thick and the quilt is excellant in the light. It doesn't look like much without a lot of light at an angle. But when the light catches it just so the top is stunning. It was new old stock when I bought it. List in 1995 was $1500.00. |

| "TEQUILA SUNRISE" 2007 (NOS) PRS Single Cut. The Top is a TEN. It has a Rosewood Neck. The model is listed as SCTREM with Wide Flat neck. The Neck has allot of red in the Rosewood which is Indian. Pickups are PRS-6, with a DOB of 10/09/07. Look at the Quilt on the carve lines from the neck pickup down basically there are four chevrons that stand out. This is a very nicely matched top. If the quilt was a bit more symetrical this may have been a Private Stock guitar. |

| "SWAMP THING" 2010 Warmoth Custom Stratocaster; the body is a 2 pc. Swamp Ash body with an AAAA Quilted Maple top. This showcase body was named "Swamp Thing" by the folks at Warmoth. Looks awesome in person, up close it looks significantly better than the pictures on the showcase site. I installed the Warmoth custom made Vintage Modern profile, highly figured Birdseye Maple neck. It has a 9.5" radius and is a “Fat Back” with stainless steel 6230 Frets and Sprezel 25/64ths tuner holes. The machine heads I installed are Tone Pros chrome six in line Kluson’s w/ chrome locks (Kluson part number TPKF6BL-C). I also added chrome string trees on the neck which is finished with Abalone dots and a Graph- tech Black Tusq XL nut and Nitro-cellulose clear satin. Warmoth performed a magnificent job on the neck it’s flawless. The body was prepped for a Fender American standard bridge so I bought one from Warmoth before I found Callaham and DeTemple. I made the pick guard from aluminum plate with a minimalist approach. I countersunk the 5 Way switch holes and I used a V-T-T pick guard as the pattern. I installed a set of Rio Grande Dual Calibrated strat pickups with chrome covers and chrome single coil rings from Guitar Parts Resource. I added a Callaham Cryo treated 5-way switch topped with an Armadillo guitars polished aluminum barrel switch tip. I also upgraded the Fender Tremolo with a DeTemple American Standard premium titanium trem block with DeTemple titanium offset saddles. I also purchased a distressed El Dorado brown leather strap from DeTemple, Mike and his daughter Annie are very nice folks. I finished the tremolo with a Callaham David Gilmore extra short trem arm topped with a polished aluminum tip from Frets on the net. I installed three 250K Ohm Alessandro split shaft guitar pots and a NOS vintage Vitamin Q .033 Mfd tone cap I have been sitting on. I used vintage cloth-covered (waxed) wire to complete the wiring job. I added a Callaham chrome jack plate, and copper shield tape in the cavity. I used stock fender trem springs to go with a Tremolo-no till she’s properly broken in. I installed a switchcraft mono 1/4" input jack in the jack plate. I added Schaler strap locks to complete the strap. She’s strung with DR Pure Blues nickel 10’s. I picked up a G&G Premium Fender Stratocaster chocolate alligator case with tan leather trim and handle while the inside of the case is dressed in “luxurious 60’s porn” tiger stripped pale orange velvet crush. |
